Job Description:
CNC MACHINIST - Miller
We are recruiting for a company that design, manufactures and reverse engineers components for the yachting industry which includes race boats and Superyachts. They are a small family run business looking for a versatile individual with a keen eye for detail. The day-to-day operations are short production runs and one-offs.
We have a vacancy for a machinist to run our XYZ SMX3500 CNC Mill.
This role involves programming (conversational), setting and operating with the Prototrak control, experience of manual milling is essential.
The right candidate will be able to work under their own initiative after a period of settling in.
Experience of Fusion 360 a bonus but not essential.
This is a very interesting role for the right person.
Responsibilities
To manufacture components within tolerances specified on drawings
To program the CNC machines from drawings provided
To set up tooling and stock for the job in hand
To monitor machines performance and assess for any maintenance requirements
To keep the machines in a clean and tidy condition
To work as part of a team to get jobs done when required
To record and report time spent on jobs

CNC Machinist - Turner
Description
We also have a vacancy for a machinist to run the brand new SMEC (Samsung) SL2000BY CNC Lathe (Siemens Shopturn). You will also use a Dugard Lunan MF500 lathe (Siemens Shopturn).
This role involves programming (conversational), setting and operating with the Siemens control, experience of manual turning is essential.
The right candidate will be able to work under their own initiative after a period of settling in.
Experience of Fusion 360 a bonus but not essential.

Skills and Experience
Technical Drawing ability a bonus
Other practical skills considered a bonus eg mechanical maintenance
Diligent, hardworking individual with good attention to detail
Must have experience of manual machining in addition to a minimum of two years CNC machining
Qualifications
Apprentice trained or equivalent experience to NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
3 x GCSEs Grade C or above (to include Maths)
