Job Description:
CNC Millers and Turners
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of detailed components to customer specification.
Minimal Requirements:
HNC in Mechanical Engineering, preferably HND in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years experience with 4-axis CNC mills
Accustomed to working in a fast paced, engineering environment
Understand Health and Safety procedures enforced by the company
Required Experience :
Proven experience of achieving sub-10 microns tolerances: 5 years
4 AXIS CNC Machining: 5 years
Experience with Fanuc and/or Hurco Controls (Preferably)
CMM Experience is desirable
Job Tasks:
Set and operate 4-axis CNC milling machines safely and efficiently
Write conversational programs for Hurco mills to required specification
Ensure that Health and Safety awareness and performance meet company standards
Feedback to Workshop Manager, suggest improvements to make the parts easier or quicker to manufacture and improve quality
Responsible for keeping the machine and work area clean
Work with different materials such as: Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel, Plastics and Titanium. The candidate should have experience working with these materials.
Be responsible for delivery to the required date on the job card
Responsible for quality and full conformity to the drawings/3D CAD models, eager to produce the best possible quality
Read and interpret, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Candidate must be able to work to tight tolerances
Back shifts/night shifts and possible weekend work after probation period
Job Type : Full-time Mon - Thurs (8.00am - 4.30pm) Fri (8.00am - 1.30pm)
